Express your creativity and share with creative types... With the help of our wonderful volunteers Yarra Valley Arts coordinates three major events in the Yarra Valley. KidsArt, Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition and Summer of Arts, check out the details below and get involved with the next event! Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition and Awards This year is the 11th Annual Sculpture Exhibition and there is heaps of excitement in the air. The Yarra Valley Arts Yering Station Annual Sculpture Exhibition and Awards is an important event on the arts calendar for the Yarra Valley. The exhibition attracts a diversity of work from both recognised and emerging artists, including local artists. The exhibition attracts a large number of people to the Yarra Valley and has contributed to earmarking the region as a destination for art lovers. With strong support from a wide range of sponsors, it has the added attraction of providing a substantial prize to winning artists, as well as helping emerging artists to gain recognition for their work. The 2011 Exhibition will show 29 works, so make a date with Yering Station wander through the works and absorb the sculpture art display. The exhibition is at Yering Station, 38 Melba Hwy, Yarra Glen, VIC.
Yarra Valley Summer of Arts | Annually in January Yarra Valley Summer of Arts is a unique creative experience that will invigorate the intellect, body and soul. Held in the beautiful township of Healesville, workshops are led by respected professional artists with the ability to encourage and extend students of all ages and abilities. Whether you wish to immerse yourself in a 5 day workshop, or try a variety of shorter workshops, experimenting with different arts disciplines, you will find this creative holiday a rewarding and memorable experience. Networking Dinner - The Arty Party | date for 2012 to be advised! The Networking Dinner (Arty Party) is a fun evening with the opportunity to meet and inspire someone new and possibly get inspired yourself! Held at a local restaurant in the Yarra Valley, the Arty Party 2011 was an evening filled with delicious food at Mocha and Lime in Healesville, with a digital display of artworks by Yarra Valley Arts Members, an entertaining and heart warming performance from the Mountain Country Carol Singers, and a vibrant and lavish show from the Zaar Bellydance troupe. Mystery Art Bus Tour | date for 2012 to be advised! The Mystery Art Bus Tour has become a recent addition to the Yarra Valley Arts Annual Calendar. This magical day is designed with creative flair and takes you on a tour of some exclusive studios in the region. KidsArt Exhibition July-October Annual Event Next year, KidsArt will take on a different face to celebrate the Archibald Prize being held at the local TarraWarra Estate for the second year.
